We have experienced great gains and can not thank you enough for offering this for free. Currently we are a week behind and we were wondering if we should get current leading into the Opens? We are planning on doing the workouts twice; on Thursday and then again on Sunday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. razor50https://www.blogger.com/profile/05839436539078486836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-18623583148965069342013-02-20T12:29:30.420-08:002013-02-20T12:29:30.420-08:00following a day behind still ... yesterday's w...following a day behind still ... yesterday's wod...
13:30 felt like I was moving slow ... one of those "patient fast" wods :)Cheryl Nassohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01874217597884044165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-5543665023857961792013-02-20T10:33:45.018-08:002013-02-20T10:33:45.018-08:00i felt like a had the flu when I got home from doi...i felt like a had the flu when I got home from doing this Wod, but after some good food and a bed I feel ok... Kyle I thought i would do a little better than what i did at this wod(46:16rx) yea... , but i suck terribly at dubs. I thought this would be a good time to exploit this weakness. all was going well till i got to the 60-70 dubs.. then i hit the wall.. i jump to high, over exert energy , and use to much arms and not enough wrist.. it took me like 19 mins to finish the last 3 rds.. so i dont know what to say, did i get better because exposed myself to being really tired doing dubs or should i have scaled a made it easier. either ways you look at it . Regionals is gonna be sick heavy
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08838089091108003434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-35381624423777857122013-02-20T10:23:17.172-08:002013-02-20T10:23:17.172-08:00Would like to take the rest day to thank Ben for t...Would like to take the rest day to thank Ben for this amazing programming. I have been following Crossfit for just under 6 months and following the Comp WOD for just under 3 months. In the past 6 months I have lost about 30 lbs. When I started the Comp Wod my 3 RM for front squat was only 205 now it is about 265 and my 10RM is 225. I definitely think this programming has brought me way beyond what I ever thought my capabilities and limits were. It is also a great community I had yet to find a website where there is this type of blogging and support for each other. I can't wait to see where i am 3 months from today. Thanks Ben!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06301583617654811513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-30813194117962687972013-02-20T09:07:16.912-08:002013-02-20T09:07:16.912-08:00I think the easy answer is...both. There's a ...I think the easy answer is...both. There's a time for each. If your weakness is your "engine", then yes, you should probably scale the weight and try to match the intensity (time) of the animals. If strength/technique is your weakness, then it would probably behoove you to go with the Rx weight/reps to get the work in. That's how I see it.

That being said, it's hard to compare times to that of the Elite. For example, Speal can also do Fran in about 2 minutes. I could take twice as long at 4 minutes and still get a lethal dose of intensity. They are just on another level.

My legs feel pretty good, but I also went home and iced my quads for like 30 minutes and then took a hot shower. I think that did the trick!Sheldonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04347584948247093228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-13809827388733016122013-02-20T08:41:29.309-08:002013-02-20T08:41:29.309-08:00I have a few questions...

Now if someone is taking 25, 30, 35 minutes to complete the workout, isn't the stimulus of that WOD now totally different? I scaled the FS to 185 and it took me just over 20 mins, still in the time domain Speal was in. Is it more advantageous to scale the workout to try and match the beats/ninjas or is it better to do it Rx'd and take twice the time? I think this is a worthy discussion. Let me know your thoughts.Kyle McDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18190637248314506140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-53411880913980173612013-02-20T08:40:35.751-08:002013-02-20T08:40:35.751-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kyle McDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18190637248314506140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-45857487915094203242013-02-20T06:49:43.111-08:002013-02-20T06:49:43.111-08:00Kate thinks it's the toe flick...Kate thinks it's the toe flick...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16491152416983288606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-1424935179212068982013-02-20T06:08:33.045-08:002013-02-20T06:08:33.045-08:00Like Neo, Montoya has realized that there is no ba...Like Neo, Montoya has realized that there is no barbell.

http://youtu.be/XO0pcWxcROIPatShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15729365707207581771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-61227209932146682352013-02-20T04:43:24.524-08:002013-02-20T04:43:24.524-08:00I knew there was some black magic involved in some...I knew there was some black magic involved in some of y'all's training!Joe Koniecznyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18102196414184666973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-824273850732718779.post-8618424372496215532013-02-19T18:54:23.544-08:002013-02-19T18:54:23.544-08:00The force! :DThe force! :DKMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04471551451912897154noreply@blogger.com
