Rest Day

Programming on this site for the next two months will be geared towards athletes competing in the 2013 Games.

If you did not qualify for the games, but have the goal of competing the 2014 Regionals and beyond, I will do a separate post for you guys.

    1. Way to go Conor and Chris!

Shout out to Jono Whitehead, placed 43rd in Open, finished 6th in Asia Regionals last weekend. Awesome meeting another athlete "Built by Bergeron"!

    2. Thanks Derek. We had a great time down there. Latin America isn't quite as competitive as the North East region, but Chris and I wouldn't have done as well without you guys. Thanks for all the support.

  2. Thanks Ben for the non-Games people update. What's the prescribed way to follow CFNE daily programming? I know you guys post a WOD every day but if I was to do the general 5 days per week dealio with rest days wednesdays/sundays then what is the best way to follow CFNE. Should I follow the current days and just completely skip the wed/sun. WOD's or would it be better to go back to like last year's program and follow them in order going 5 days per week. Sorry for the noob questions, just wondering what schedule you recommend for people at your gym.

    1. Good question Jubba. We have our "non-Games Athletes" taking rest days on Thursdays and Sundays.

They do additional strength on Mon-Wed-Fri, and work skills on Tues-Thurs-Sun.

  3. Ben,

I've been following the blog since the Open and wanted to thank you for all of the knowledge and workouts. I realize I haven't posted my times leading up to Regionals, but the training sure paid off. I finished the open in 36th place in Mid Atlantic and finished Regionals in 21st.

    Thanks again,
    Chris Martirano

  4. Is it safe to assume that there will be about two weeks of lighter volume work after the games before starting the first phase of the new training season?
