  1. Regionals.....

87.... Grip killer. Should've switched grips in the round of 15.

    1. Hey Tadpole,
What do you mean by switching grip?
I am going to give it a go tonight, any tips and advice would be appreciated
      Thanks

    2. Belinda,

Supine or regular grip first and switching it to a mixed/switch grip later on for TTB.

    3. Ah! I see
What was your rep scheme like?
Did you intentionally break up the c/j and TTB at certain number to save the grip or keep under the red line?
      Thanks

  2. Did it last night right after the announcement, so I didn't have any time to really strategize. I thought TTB would burn out quickly like the C2B in the Fran ladder, so I broke them up from the get-go which was a huge mistake. I also did TNG C&J on the first 2 rounds and then dropped every rep after that.

    Attempt 1 - 68

Attempt 2 - will be an easy 75+

  3. 1. 93 reps, grip wasn't an issue. Ttb were broken up on rd of 12 on....single c&j after rd of 6.
    2. Will do later

  4. Not pumped about my score: 71.
Once I lose stringing together my TTB, it is gone forever. Any tips? This is what killed me... :(

I wasn't dead tired after this workout. My forearms were pumped up...but it was because I got so much "rest" on TTB since I wasn't able to string them together after the round of 6. SOOOOO ANNOYING!

Anyway, excited for a redo on Sunday. My goal is still 90. If I get the TTB together, it is DEFINITELY doable. The Clean and Jerks weren't really an issue.

    1. Singles for TTB or Clean and Jerk?
I strung together TTB for the 3 and 6 -- fell apart at rep 5 in the 9s -- then it was slow singles/doubles/triples sometimes...

    2. When I just practice TTB, I can string them together! This isn't the first time that during a WOD it just falls apart. I just need to practice them constantly, apparently :)

    3. the strategy I use for my athletes who r less efficient at ttb on this workout is to set up 2 boxes to stand on ... hang between the boxes do a single ... then step back on the boxes ( leave hands on the bar) ... then back into another rep... it's not fast but it is a steady pace... I can send u a video if u want to see ... it works well with c2b pull ups too !

  6. Ugh - 40 reps, not a validated score, I definitely didn't feel like I was moving that slow. 3,6,9 T2B were un-broken, just a lot of time spent on C&J apparently.

37 RX got my first set of clean and jerks unbroken and went singles after that, toes to bar felt good.

Grip was the limiting factor for me (well, that plus the fact that I stink at ttb).

    3. Thx guys

Connor- yes I went to the singles towards the middle of the round of 12 ttb. Ttb are a weakness for me though, so you probably want to go Kipping longer than that. When the ttb start to break down and youd have to rest between sets, that's when I'd go to the fast singles to keep moving.

  19. Holy burning forearms! Not as planned, ttb sucked major balls & couldn't find the momentum to keep going, FRUSTRATING! 66; anxious to do this again

  20. 69. attempted this with the hook grip. definitely saved my grip and i had no problem with the t2b. only problem i had was since i don't normally use the hook grip i couldn't touch n go on the cnj. slowed me down a lot. going to redo. Had more in the tank, if i can finish the cnj and give myself some time on the last set of t2b it'll make a big difference.
